The Heart of the Hill Country
The Greenhouse at Driftwood is a special place in the heart of the Hill Country. The property has been meticulously cared for, for three generations. With lush, native plants and century-old oaks, this venue pays special attention to conservation and sustainability. The property has been using rainwater collection for primary water use since the 1970’s and most of the power needs are met using rooftop solar panels.
LAYOUT
Desert Greenhouse: The desert greenhouse is a beautiful space with incredible plants and lovely natural light. It is perfect for small celebrations and elopements. The capacity for the desert greenhouse is seven.
Tropical Greenhouse: The tropical greenhouse is a multi-level complex space complete with spiral staircases, catwalks, and balconies on several levels. It is a wonderful space for photos and smaller ceremonies. The capacity for the tropical house is 50.
Deck: The deck space is bordered by ponds and soft light from the desert greenhouse. The deck is perfect for an outdoor ceremony or reception. The deck can hold about 300 for a ceremony and 170 for a full reception.
Wedding Oak Lawn: Nestled in the middle of the greenhouses, the deck and the tent slab, the lawn is accessible and beautiful. The lawn is perfect for an outdoor ceremony or a cocktail hour before the reception. The front lawn cannot be tented and can comfortably accommodate around 300 people for a ceremony.
Tent Slab: The tent slab is the perfect spot for larger receptions and a wonderful option for rain plans. Equipped with power, non-slip surface, and easy vendor entry, it’s a great space for any occasion. The tent slab can seat up to 300 for a reception.
Other: There are additional spaces around the property that can be used for catering tents, rain plans, lawn games and more.

VENUE REQUIREMENTS
All clients hosting events with over 50 guests are required to secure and submit a rain plan consisting of a tent in any one or several of the outdoor areas. This venue requires ever client have at least a day-of, insured event coordinator. They also require guests to purchase special event insurance and one security guard per 100 guests.
